Connection to family, to our team and most importantly to Africa.
This year brought meaningful growth close to home. The arrival of Everly gently shifted our perspective, reminding us of the importance of presence, patience, and time together. We also welcomed Stefanie to the YPA team. Her arrival strengthened not just our day-to-day operations, but the shared values that sit at the heart of YPA. Growth, for us, has never been about scale, it’s about finding like minded people to walk with in the long term.

Despite the big changes at home, we spent plenty of time travelling on the ground across Africa… from the waterways and desert pans of Botswana to the vast landscapes of Namibia, from the teaming plains of Tanzania to special corners of Zimbabwe, South Africa and the coastlines of Mozambique. We also loved revisiting Egypt and seeing just how much this country has to offer. Some places were new discoveries, others familiar favourites, but every journey served as a reminder of what matters in luxury travel: space, integrity, and genuine connection to both place and people. Being there, listening, learning, and experiencing firsthand is what allows us to plan with confidence and care.

It’s been a year where the world has often felt heavy. In response, we’ve focused on what we can control; how we show up, how we plan, who we partner with, and how we look after our guests. Staying grounded in our values has been both a compass and a comfort.

As the year draws to a close, gratitude is what lingers most. For our families, our growing team, our trusted partners, and the clients who place their journeys in our hands. We head into the year ahead feeling inspired, connected, and excited for what’s to come in 2026.
