Crafted with care, from the first call to your final flight

Booking a safari isn’t like booking a hotel room — and that’s the point. At YPA, we design journeys that are deeply personal, logistically seamless, and unforgettable from start to finish.

Here’s how we do it:

1. Get in Touch

Reach out via our Contact Us form email us at travel@yourprivateafrica.com or give us a call on ‪+1 (425) 200-5079. We’ll schedule a discovery call with Nick, our co-founder and safari expert, to get a feel for what you’re looking for — whether it’s a milestone trip, a family adventure, or simply a deep dive into the wild.

2. Pay the Planning Fee

To begin the planning process, we require a $500 planning fee. This allows us to invest the time and expertise needed to craft an itinerary that’s far from off-the-shelf. Every proposal is hand-designed from scratch and based on your specific preferences, timing, travel style, and group dynamics. We take into account everything from logistics and seasonal nuances to which guides and rooms will suit you best.

This planning fee is fully credited toward your trip cost if you choose to book with us.

3. Receive Your Tailored Proposals

Once the planning fee has been received, we will create detailed, custom itinerary options — based on your preferences, travel dates, and style. Each proposal includes confirmed availability, a detailed list of inclusions, and provisional holds where possible.

4. Refine the details

Review your itinerary options, then let us know what you love — and what you’d like to tweak. We’ll adjust accordingly until every detail feels spot on.

5. Confirm your safari

Once you’re ready, we’ll confirm your chosen itinerary. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking, with the final balance due 60 days before departure.

6. Get ready to go

From VIP airport welcomes to packing tips and in-country support, we’ll ensure your journey is smooth and stress-free — right up to wheels up.

Be inspired!
