Islands, open horizons, and a story still unfolding.

Mozambique’s coastline has the kind of beauty that immediately changes the pace of a trip. Long stretches of white sand, warm Indian Ocean water, and islands surrounded by reefs create a feeling of space that is increasingly difficult to find.
For us, the Bazaruto Archipelago is the country’s greatest draw. Its islands combine high dunes, quiet beaches, clear water, and a rich marine ecosystem. Days can be spent snorkeling, diving, sailing, fishing, or exploring by boat, with plenty of time to simply walk along the sand and enjoy the stillness.
Beyond the coast, Mozambique holds exciting possibilities for the future. Gorongosa National Park is one of Africa’s boldest conservation projects, where wildlife, habitats, and surrounding communities form part of an ambitious, long-term restoration story.
Mozambique is a country we continue to watch with interest and optimism. Its islands already offer a beautiful ending to a safari, while the continued development of Gorongosa creates opportunities for a more complete Mozambique experience in the years ahead.

Mozambique offers space in its purest form. Beaches seem to continue without end, the horizon is uninterrupted, and island days are shaped by the movement of tides rather than a busy schedule.
The Bazaruto Archipelago feels remote without being disconnected from the pleasures of a beautifully considered stay. There is time to swim, explore, eat fresh seafood, or do very little at all. We are equally drawn to Mozambique’s sense of possibility.
Gorongosa is proof that landscapes and wildlife can recover when conservation is supported by long-term commitment, scientific research, and meaningful investment in the people living around a protected area. Its story is still being written, and we look forward to seeing what comes next.

Combine a safari in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, or Zambia with several days on Benguerra Island. The contrast between time in the bush and long, quiet days beside the ocean creates a beautifully balanced trip.

Travel to the Bazaruto Archipelago for a standalone beach stay focused on privacy, marine exploration, food, and time together.

As Gorongosa continues to develop, we look forward to creating trips that bring together its conservation story and the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago, revealing two very different sides of Mozambique.
