What’s not to love about extra space and privacy? Not to mention sipping on French Champagne and having an unlimited supply of Godiva chocolates during a long-haul flight.
Ever since we took our first Qatar Airways flight and settled into a Q Suite, we’ve been sold. Qatar boasts the world’s newest, most fuel efficient and safest aircraft with state-of-the-art models like the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777. The airline unveiled their new ‘Q Suites’ in 2017, the world’s first suite-style business class seats with closing doors and layouts. It’s helpful that the suites can be configured into 2 or 4-person family or work areas, and even double beds.
We give extra points for the extra space and privacy compared to most business class experiences. Each seat is 21.5 inches wide and reclines to a fully lay flat bed 79 inches long ensuring a comfortable sleep.
If you can’t sleep, no worries, there’s a large 21.5 inch TV screen and fully stocked entertainment system with over 4,000 content options to keep you busy.
We appreciate that almost every dietary need is catered to by a full à la carte menu and you’ll be spoiled for choice with the options for wine and French Champagnes. A special touch is the array of unlimited Godiva chocolates and top shelf spirits that you can dip into during the flight.
If you’re looking to earn some extra mileage points, Qatar is now a part of One World Alliance with mileage partnerships with US carriers like Alaska and American so that’s a bonus.
Top of our list with flying Q Suites, we love the friendly service, state of the art aircraft with extra space, one of the broadest flight routing networks in the world, and probably the real winner is the feeling of being refreshed and ready to hit the ground running on arrival to our next destination.
Just so you know, the Q Suites are offered on most flagship routes including all 12 US gateways.
