We’re not surprised that Aggie Maseko Banda, affectionately known as ‘The Island Queen’, is such a Trip Advisor hit. She has a beautiful smile, and it’s about as infectious as her love for life and her passion for doing good. Whenever we visit the Royal Chundu, we leave feeling light, inspired and positive about the power that big dreams and determination can have. The Zambezi Joy Society, which Aggie co-founded, is today a thriving online project that empowers local artists and craftspeople to sell their beautiful creations and support their families. Not only is it making a profound impact on the communities living around the lodge, but it’s also sharing the color, joy and creativity of Zambia with the rest of the world.
